Home: Poetry: Lucy Bockwich: Chihuahua Poem

There is something that I think of in awe,
Is my chihuahua a bird or a dog?
Is it an alligator that snaps it's jaws,
Or a flying squirrel that jumps and then falls?
Maybe it is a mole that digs holes.
An alligator, a flying squirrel, or a bird ,
For I fear that I shall never know,
Is my chihuahua a dog or a mole?
