Home: Poetry: Jay Owen: She Beckons me away

She laughs at me silently

hoping i don't hear her

She pushes me away

while her regret pulls me nearer

Her guilt holding onto the loved relationship

While her heart is in another place

All Her devices feel the things for others

and saying things true behind my face

My heart fills with the sorrow of a lost dove

A lost life, a soul is drained, of all it's love...
