West,
Across the seas and, The great beyond, We wander, Ebony shores, And make sand-castles, Like children, With a wonder for life, That can only come, On innocence. We crawl beneath, The stars, That are timeless. They stare down From the heavens To watch over us, Our forefathers that, Only have time for us, When they cannot feel, The wind. Our pasts are behind us, We slide them off, Our shoulders, So we can look up, At the skies, And down, To the sea, And wonder on what, The world is like, Over the deep, Blue horizon. |
