As I stare through your eyes
Nothing comes
Thought buried
Sweet remembrance
Lost
Under a pile of paper
In the back room
Familiar face
Staring back at me
Confusion
Frustration
You smile
We laugh
But still
Confusion
Frustration
Tiny grey cat
Hiding in the shadows
Creeping in the dark
Of my mind
Of my memory
Suddenly
As if hit
By lightning
It jumps
It pounces
I remember
