As I stare through your eyes Nothing comes Thought buried Sweet remembrance Lost Under a pile of paper In the back room Familiar face Staring back at me Confusion Frustration You smile We laugh But still Confusion Frustration Tiny grey cat Hiding in the shadows Creeping in the dark Of my mind Of my memory Suddenly As if hit By lightning It jumps It pounces I remember |
